Qaptis on the road in recent weeks: Showcase 2030, Executives International, ECTA annual meeting, COP29 & Slush

Written on November 26, 2024

This November has been quite eventful for Qaptis. Take a look at our recent venues:

Showcase 2030 in Lausanne, Switzerland

Our first stop was the Showcase 2030, hosted by Enterprise for Society Center (E4S). This event brought together sustainable experts across industry, academia and policymaking, all united by a shared vision of advancing sustainability in our society.

Have you heard of the 3Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle?
As one of the featured startups in the Reduce vertical, our team members, Théodore & Stéphanie, presented our solution and its potential to contribute to the circular carbon economy (#CCE). By capturing CO₂ emissions and giving them a new purpose, we’re not only reducing pollution levels in the air but also helping to turn carbon waste into valuable resources.

Executives International Startups & Mentors in Lausanne, Switzerland

Our COO, Théodore, was invited to the Executives International Startups & Mentors event, where he presented Qaptis alongside fellow Swiss startups, Neology Hydrogen & AI Tutor. This event provided a valuable opportunity to immerse ourselves in the entrepreneurial world and gain insights from industry leaders.

ECTA Annual Meeting in Düsseldorf, Germany

Our CEO, Masoud Talebi Amiri, was invited by the ECTA – European Chemical Transport Association to present on Mobile CO2 capture for accelerating the decarbonization of logistics and showcase how Qaptis is working hard to achieve this goal. A big thank you to Andreas Zink and LKW WALTER for the kind invitation, and to Estelle Zink for organizing this fantastic event so flawlessly.

COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan

Qaptis and its technology were then showcased at COP29 Azerbaijan, where we were thrilled to win the 1st place in COP29 Global Green Innovation Challenge among more than 40 exceptional finalists, carefully selected from around the world. Congratulations to our CEO Masoud Talebi Amiri for his great pitch! He has undoubtedly returned from Baku inspired and more committed than ever to climate action. A heartfelt thanks to Abbas Kazmi, SABAH.HUB, and ABB for organizing this event.

Slush in Helsinki, Finland

Finally, Qaptis joined the Swiss delegate in Stockholm for the pre-event leading up to Slush. Our co-founders, Théodore & Masoud, had amazing exchanges with great people from Uppsala’s research and startup ecosystem before heading to Helsinki. Many thanks to the Embassy of Switzerland in Finland and Sabrina Dallafior for hosting us and providing such valuable support.

Slush was an outstanding experience, offering the opportunity to showcase Qaptis and connect with investors, partners and clients from across the globe. It was truly inspiring to meet fellow members of the Swiss startup ecosystem who are tirelessly working to create a positive impact in people’s lives. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Switzerland Global Enterprise, with special thanks to Felicitas Gartmann and Gustav Henriksson.
