The European Commission proposes 2030 zero-emissions target for new HDVs

[European Green Deal] This day, the European Commission has proposed a new and more ambitious EU CO2 emission targets for new heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs) from 2030 onwards.

According to the European Commission, trucks, city buses, and long-distance buses are currently responsible for more than 6% of total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on the continent. And the situation is expected to worsen, as carbon emissions from heavy-duty vehicles have been steadily increasing since 2014.

At Qaptis, we strongly believe that legislators have a key role to play to achieving zero pollution goals in the freight sector. And we will work towards this, hand in hand with all industry stakeholders
